The headspace sampler can be used to analyze volatile components in liquid and solid samples. The so-called headspace refers to the "space above the object", where the components contained in the object, especially those with low boiling points, exist in the upper part of liquids and solids. A headspace sampler is a device that keeps a sample sealed in a sample bottle at a constant temperature for a certain period of time. When the gas-liquid or gas-solid phases reach thermodynamic equilibrium, the sample is taken, and then the gas phase is introduced into a gas chromatograph (GC) for analysis. Can be used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of aroma components in food, odor components in chemical products, and harmful volatile components in environmental water.
fromFrom research and development to quality management, the HS-20 series headspace sampler provides comprehensive and powerful support for the analysis of volatile components. The HS-20 series headspace sampler includes the quantitative loop mode HS-20, HS-20LT model, and HS-20Trap model with built-in trap function.
Specialty
Excellent performance
High reproducibility and low cross contamination ensure accurate quantification at all times. Analysis of high boiling point compounds corresponding to a heating furnace with a maximum temperature of 300 ℃.
High reproducibility
The HS-20 series headspace sampler adopts high-precision flow control based on electronic flow controller (AFC). The sample bottle enters from the bottom of the heating furnace, effectively reducing heat loss and achieving high reproducibility.
In the overlapping heating mode, maximize the reduction of system heat loss and ensure the thermal stability of the system.
Low cross contamination
By inerting the sample flow path and maximizing the shortening of the sample path, low cross contamination that traditional headspace cannot achieve has been achieved. Even polar compounds such as acetic acid remain without residue, achieving high reliability analysis.
High temperature compatibility
The HS-20 series headspace sampler is based on a heating furnace that can be set up to 300 ℃ and a simple, inert sample flow path, making it possible to analyze high boiling point compounds that were difficult to implement with previous headspace samplers.
Cyclosiloxanes are raw materials for producing silicon and are present in trace amounts in products such as oil or liquid rubber. Cyclosiloxanes are volatile and may cause defects in electronic component contacts, making concentration management very important. The HS-20 series headspace sampler can measure substances from cyclic siloxanes to phthalates under the same conditions.
Easy to use design
Adopting a user-friendly design that pursues ease of operation, the sample bottle is very easy to remove and place.
Consumables such as injection needles, quantitative rings, and capture traps can be easily replaced from above the device.
Convenient sample tray for use
The sample tray of HS-20 is 20cm higher than the desktop, and all sample trays can be observed at any time, making it easy to place samples and prevent errors during sample loading.
No special attachments are required, and 10mL and 20mL sample bottles can be mixed for analysis.
And, an optional barcode reader is prepared, which can track and manage samples with barcodes.
Easy maintenance
The HS-20 series headspace sampler adopts a design that facilitates maintenance operations such as sample loop and injection needle replacement from above the device.
When high concentration samples cause contamination of the sample flow path, the piping unit can be replaced. The connector of the capillary chromatography column is compatible with the GC sample gasification chamber, making it easy to replace the chromatography column.
The HS-20 series headspace sampler also adopts a design that minimizes maintenance downtime, improving laboratory analysis efficiency.
Excellent scalability
The headspace sampler of the capture trap model can perform ultra trace component analysis on gases generated by components and materials by concentrating the headspace gas. Moreover, if equipped with an optional barcode reader, sample management associated with the chromatographic data system can be achieved.
Electronic cooling trap(Capture trap model)
The HS-20Trap with built-in electronic cooling trap can concentrate headspace gas for high-sensitivity analysis. For water containing samples, the use of hydrophobic Tenax fillers can concentrate and analyze low boiling point compounds to high boiling point compounds from water containing samples.
The method file can be easily switched between the capture trap mode and the general mode using a quantitative loop. During batch continuous analysis, the trap mode and loop mode can be alternately analyzed.
High sensitivity analysis of aroma components in coffee
The combination of highly sensitive electron cooled trap and GCMS makes it possible to qualitatively and quantitatively detect trace aroma components that were previously undetectable by headspace samplers.
Simultaneous analysis of VOCs in wastewater
The high temperature stability and inert sample flow path of HS-20 achieve high reproducibility analysis of VOCs in wastewater. Due to low cross contamination, a sample tray that can hold up to 90 samples can be effectively used.
Analysis of residual solvents in Class 2A and 2B drugs in USP467
Combined with high durability GC detectors, it can be used for quality management that requires high quantitative accuracy. The leak detection function and electronic recording function of all samples ensure traceability.
Optional accessory barcode reader
Equipped with optional barcode readers, samples can be managed using barcodes.
Capable of controlling the chromatographic data system LabSolutions corresponding to CFR Part 11, ensuring traceability of analysis conditions and operations.
